Local Solutions for Global Problems

Clean Energy Council accreditation is a must have for individuals who want to design or install solar or battery storage systems.

Photonix Energy P/L only uses highly experienced and fully qualified A-Grade electricians who are CEC accredited designers and installers.

Clean Energy Council accreditation is a must have for individuals who want to design or install solar or battery storage systems.

The Clean Energy Council is committed to ensuring high quality solar and battery design and installations through the Accreditation Scheme. CEC-accredited installers and designers are bound by a set of rules that dictate their conduct. This page outlines the rules accredited persons agree to follow when they become accredited.

Accreditation Code of Conduct

The Accreditation Code of Conduct acts to guide the behaviour of accredited installers and designers and the standards of conduct and professionalism expected from them. All persons holding any form of CEC accreditation must follow the standards set out in the Code of Conduct.

Accreditation Terms and Conditions

CEC accreditation is conditional upon an accredited person accepting and complying with the Accreditation Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions set out when the CEC has the right to act in respect of an accredited persons accreditation status.

Australian standards, CEC guidelines, network connection rules and government incentive scheme requirements

CEC accredited installers and designers must comply with all relevant Australian standardsCEC guidelines, applicable laws, regulations and codes of practice. This includes complying with network regulations when connecting to the grid and government rebate, grant or incentive scheme requirements.

Installation attendance

An accredited installer of a small-scale renewable energy system is required to physically install the system themselves or attended the site at least three times – at the beginning, middle and end of the installation.

ACCREDITATION AND STCS

For a small-scale solar, wind or hydro system to be eligible for STCs, it must be designed and installed by someone who is accredited by the Clean Energy Council.

This is to ensure that the small-scale renewable energy systems, for which the government issues STCs, are correctly designed and installed by Clean Energy Council accredited designers and installers who have received proper training. Systems that are designed and installed by someone who is not accredited will not be eligible to receive STCs.
